Every license on Neighborhood Registry is checked directly against the issuing authority’s public record before the profile can carry the Verified designation. Licenses are re-checked weekly against the issuing authority’s public record — where the authority publishes a machine-readable record the weekly check runs automatically, and where it does not, the record is checked manually. Every license is also formally re-verified every 12 months, on the anniversary of the initial verification — the annual re-verification is the backstop for any record the weekly check cannot reach. Claimed members also receive a formal re-verification every quarter where the authority publishes a machine-readable record. If a re-verification finds a license lapsed, expired, or revoked, the professional’s Verified status is removed, their neighborhood seat is released, and their profile is unpublished until the license is verified active again.
