Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

Neighborhood Registry (“we,” “us”) operates neighborhoodregistry.com (the “Site”). This policy describes what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

Listing applications. When a professional applies for a listing, we collect their name, email, phone, firm or agency, license number and licensing state, optional National Producer Number (insurance agents), lines of authority (insurance agents), service area, website, bio, and any headshot, logo, or photo they upload.

Content professionals post. Photos, videos, and posts a listed professional adds through their dashboard link, and reviews submitted about a professional (reviewer name and review text).

License verification data. Records of the license checks we run against public sources (issuing authority, license number, status, check date), used to determine and display Verified status.

Usage data. Standard server logs and analytics (pages visited, browser type, IP address, referring pages), and cookies needed for the Site to function and to measure traffic.

How we use it

To operate the directory; to verify licenses against public records at application and on a recurring basis; to display profiles, listings, and submitted content; to email applicants and listed professionals about their listing (application status, verification, badge and dashboard links); to prevent fraud and badge misuse; and to improve the Site.

What is public

A published profile — including the professional’s name, firm or agency, license information and status, service area, website, headshot, photos, and posts — is public by design, as are reviews. Application contact details (email, phone) are shown only as the professional provides them for display; the email address used for the application is used for account communications.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with: service providers that run the Site (hosting, email delivery, analytics) under their own privacy terms; the public license records of issuing authorities, which are the source of verification data; and where required by law or to protect the Site and its users. Outbound links (for example, to a licensing authority or a professional’s own website) take you to sites we do not control.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for core functionality and analytics. You can control cookies in your browser settings; disabling them may affect Site features.

Retention

Application and verification records are kept while a listing is active and for a reasonable period afterward for audit, fraud prevention, and legal purposes. Content a professional removes from display may persist in backups for a limited period.

Your choices

Professionals may update their profile information through their dashboard link or by contacting us, and may ask us to remove their listing and associated content. Anyone may ask what personal information we hold about them and request correction or deletion, subject to records we must retain for legal or audit reasons.

Children

The Site is for adults conducting business; it is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy; the current version will always be posted here with its revision date.
